About us
In Dakshina Kannada, food has always been more than just something to eat — it’s an emotion. It’s part of everyday life, shared on verandas in the evening, by the beach after a long walk, along temple streets, and at small tea stalls where conversations stretch and time slows down.
Pon Pon brings back those familiar Mangalore moments. The kind where Ajja would carefully break a piece of chikki and make sure everyone got an equal share. The sound of the crunch, the deep sweetness of jaggery, the easy laughter around — simple moments that slowly became memories.
Rooted in tradition and prepared with care, Pon Pon continues to make snacks the way they have always been made. Honest ingredients, time-tested recipes, and a deep respect for flavour. Because some tastes don’t fade with time — they stay with you. They are not just eaten, they are remembered.

Our Story
One was Tamil Nadu – who taught a young Subramanya the taste of jaggery, the rhythm of tradition, the value of simplicity. The other was Karnataka – who gave him a place to dream, to build, to belong. From one mother he learned sweetness. From the other, strength.
Together, they gave birth to Pon Pon – a taste that carries both love and grit. The warmth of Tamil jaggery, the heart of Mangalore’s people. When you break a piece of Pon Pon chikki, you’re not just tasting a snack – you’re tasting a story that began with hunger and ended with hope.
Rituals of Tasle
What sets Pon Pon apart isn’t just what’s inside its packs-it’s he rituals and relationships outside. Every peanut handpicked, every batch of urad dal dried only by the sun, every recipe tested by generations-these acts are the invisible ingredients. Pon Pon’s quality is born not from machinery but from people: farmers, mothers, factory workers sharing in a common journey.
